Hi everyone.
Heaps of action in Cairns if you are thinking of coming up to the far north.
Check out my site for all the action at pascoepix.com
Let me know if you like any of the shots
wow - nice pics dude
looks like the old crew of capt gumby, dangerous dan, superman tony, are still dominating with their old school routines - cool to see some guys on surfboards - moxing it up -
I reckon firie bob takes the stayer award for persisting with that pole thing
The pics against the sky look good -
the colour of the water doesnt make me homesick at all -

huge shot. absolutely friggin enourmous. will be taking my wide angle lens with me tomorrow (sunday) and get in the water if it isnt too rough. yes the colour of the water is a turn off but the guys (and some girls) are working hard to keep me busy
hey bruce. i noticed you do a bit with slingshot. one of the boys up here (craig) is sponsored by slingshot. need any pics for the site you let me know.
Hey Brett,
Those watermarks drove me insane. Are you so worried about people copying them that much that you need to ruin the photo?
I own a photo library, and I honestly dont see the point in watermarking images with anything more then a subtle opac logo, which if anything will serve as great advertising. Anything else just ruins the photo, you are likely to get more sales from good photos without these watermarks rather then loose the same amount from people stealing them (the kind of people you dont wan't as clients anyway). Massive watermarks really aren't that neccessary in the professional market as the people that can afford to buy your photos will buy them as they can't afford to be sued for copyright infringement.
hey echo. thanks for the tip about the watermark. can you direct me to your library to see what might be better?
Top shots Brett
I agree with the water marks though, go for something smaller
I see you were back at Yorkey's today
A couple of nice shots also mixed
I bet today was too bloody rough to get into the water with camera
Cheers,
Bob.
yes bob it was too rough to get into the water for me with my camera so had the telephoto out again. one of the guys even had his surfboard and caught a couple of "waves". who said there was no surf in cairns. there were quite a few wind surfers though. couldnt get any good shots of them though as I was on the wrong side and could only see the sail. need the expressions on their faces when they see the kites flying past them :o)
Got me all misty eyed to see the crew in action up there. Gosh, I even miss the crocodile infested brown soup that is the Thomatis creek mouth. Good to see the regulars like Capn Gumby, Big Tony, Damo, and I thought I even spotted the Haffner-Hoff in there as well.
Still, there is one advantage of being down here in Victoria... now it's only a 5 hour drive to get to the Mambo...
hey guys. thanks again and am looking at something smaller in a less obvious place. It annoys the hell out of me too. got my admin chick to look at it and now its gone all together so something went amiss.
going to be a big end of season booze up here soon so if you are up this way let one of the locals know and they can tell you where and when. have been asked to put on a slide show too so I can bring out all the bad landings and face plants.
