Yep, Definately, the Airush DNA is awesome in the waves. I ride the 9m or the 6m is 20knots plus.
In 30 knots, the DNA 6m on 15m lines is insane!

Can't speak much 'bout the others, but DNA is the winner for me.

have ridden dna and rebel but not the bandit.

But the 08 DNA out of any kite 08,07,06,.... I have tried is the best for me for hooked wave riding and even unhooked in side on (for side or side off it doesnt sit quite far enough forward in the window, like the generator does, makes it hard to do anything other then ride down the line)

Like carbs said such smooth power through turns never feel like you are going to get pulled off your rail, yet there is always juice when u smack the lip.

I had fun on my 10m FlySurfer Psycho3 and Spleene 159 x 43 Zone (snowboard technology) going toe-side upwind as well as down the line today at Scarbs when many others were walking back up the beach. There were some nice waves coming through every now and then

But if it's >=18knots then the 6m Psycho3 or 6m Speed2 is the go. As meerkat says the smallest and fastest kite possible .

Rode one myself last week, like riding a plank!
Unlike riding the 08 Airush Switch 138x42, slash , turn, carve, rio, loop, land, pop, blind, all in light wind. Tested at Eddies, South passage, Hole in the Wall, Secret spot and Derrs. OK in waves, kills upwind

the dna are much lighter than the flows meening they drift back in the window with u!! hope that helps!

Hey Poida,

The DNA is slightly lower aspect and has a deeper profile which allows it to create more power at low speeds. The lower aspect assists in it's pivotal turning and the lighter weight gives it rapid acceleration.

The leading edge is slightly larger which creates a little more drag than the Flow so it tends to sit back in the wind window just a bit more which gives it it's amazing stability. The balance of the kite is important too so it doesn't luff when riding down the line, instead it drifts along with you and turns effortlessly with little bar pressure.

The last thing is it's water relaunch. The lower aspect and more bally shape from the swept back leading edge make it one of the easiest kites to relaunch after a crash which helps heaps when it's about to be eaten by a big wave.

The Flow is also good in the surf, but for my mind the DNA is a hands down winner at surf riding, but then again, the Flow is much better at other styles like going from waves to freestyle and boosting. It depends on what you want your kite for and how you want to ride it. For fast twin tip style in the waves, a Flow or Vapor will be better as the riding is faster and uses the kite more.

I love the 9m and 6m for waves, simply unbeatable for down the line for park and surf style riding on a surfboard. You can come and demo them at our school on the weekend if you like.
