Was out kiting in strong easterlies this afternoon when I lost my board close to the reef at Ricketts pt, port Philip bay, Mel, VIC.
Given the side-off SE winds it would have drifted to Altona or even down to Pt Cook unless more southerly wind would drive it towards the city beaches.
It is a 2009 Brunotti Youri Zoon Pro model, with the original footstraps replaced by white/gold ones, white pads, a decent fixed crack underneath, light green G10 fins.

My name and number are on it, and the board serial nr is 29345.

Please call Tom at 0416877723 if you find it and of course a reward will be offered.

I lost a board in an easterly. It turned up at the Williamstown police station the next morning.

That was a strong and gusty easterly! I went to yoga instead. Did you have your name & number on the board?

Just re-read your post - I see your name and number was on it. Hopefully you will get it back.

Apparently they announced that a board was found and handed into the police on the Chrissy and Jane show this morning. That according to a reply I got to my add on gumtree lost&found. Only the sender did not say which police station. Will have to make some calls, perhaps Williamstown being a good start. Tried to email police but they only have their crimestoppers mail adresses not for general inquiries.

Just wondering if anyone had any news, or tips what could be done while hoping to get the board back. I posted on gumtree as well, and reported it as lost property to police.
Anyone seen anything at Altona or the eastern beaches? Thanks.

FOUND!!! A Pt Cook local found the board while paddleboarding in an inlet in the vast Reserve near Pt Cook. The board was almost entirely covered in mud after three weeks so this was really well spotted. After a wash he could identify my name and number and found this post on seabreeze. Just picked up the board. It has drifted about 30 km across the northern Bay. Again, thanks heaps Mark!!!

Aint that a sunshine story!

PS: if there is any moral to it, don´t go out in 40 knots side-off but if you do, clearly write your name and nr on your gear...
