Hey guys just bought myself an old 2006 ozone edge 5 line kite. I took it for a spin and noticed the rear steering
lines were slack making it sluggish and hard to steer. I adjust the trim to 100% power still slack. now i noticed this kite has 2 white tabs on either edge of the kite and they are both hooked up with 30cm line joining into 1 then running down to the bar. just wanted to know does anyone know if i have to use both tabs or can i connect a short line to 1 tab taking up the slack so i can have 50/50 power/depower. at the moment i have to pull the bar all the way in just to tension up the rear lines then there is no more power. I need it to sit in the middle and have 50/50, any help would be awesome
Thanks guys.

Chris

adjust at the bar, are you on the same aged bar? if so youll see 2 adjustment buckles to shorten your rear lines, you could buy some longer pigtails for the main bridle this also would give the same effect also the larks head pigtail shown on the picture could be shortened to take up some slack, do it in small incraments, don't exspect super quick turning though it aint that kind of kite,

just checked, you may have the older bar, as the new one I talked about was a 2006/7, you can download a 24 page sheet on the instinct from flyozone
or post a photo of the bar including the pigtails at the end of steering lines,

I uploaded some more pics the bridle line already has a small extension i might just try one a bit longer. i pulled the adjustment straps on the steering lines all the way in when i was flying and still not enough tension untill i pulled the bar all the way in. i know in the pic they are back out again as that the way i want untill i can sort the problem elswhere. the ozone manual is almost a complete waste of time no tuning info. can you confirm the year of that bar..?

from memory its the updated bar, plenty of options to tune the kite though either by shortening or lengthening through pigtails, carnt remember if the are any adjustments under the foam floats at the bar maybe have a look,
