Rider weight: 100kg+
Level: Intermediate
Style: Wakestyle
Board: 2009 lunacy 135
Boots: 08/09 Liquid force Vantages
Previous board: 08 145 Misfit
Previous boot: 05 Liquid force Transits LTD

I didn't really know which thread to put this review in so I started this combined 1. The 1st time I finally got to ride my new stick was at a mid north coast flat location, maybe 15-20 max. Being a whole new set up and losing a 100mm length from previous board I was a little sceptical on whether it could get my arse out of the water.

My my... Wasn't I suprised, the ride was smooth , had good roost and zero spray on the face. The Vantage boots where awesome and are like sex for your feet. Alot of people seem to think the velcro won't last but I've had 4 sessions on em with no sign of wear. The foot beds are super soft. At 1st I thought maybe too soft, thinking on big landings it would compress and allow your foot to move forward insde the boot. But it kinda creates a vacuum inside it and if tightened up properly you won't move.

The lunacy has sooo much pop its re-cockulous. In fact the 1st 45mins of this sesh I was crashing 80% of the time due to over rotating my inverts. Build quality as with any slingy product is rock solid and very sweet graphics.

The Bad: I had a high tide session at my local on the weekend. Normally if there is surf there will be flat spots between the waves even in a high tide, but not today. Due to lack of rocker and 430mm of width it was a very bumpy ride. The boots did they're best but it was still ****. It woulda been cool to have a wider stance option 2 but I got the best out of it throu drilling into the boot base plate.

Overview: Overall I'm stoked with this board. Its cool to ride a 135 and still be a big bastard. When I get a wave sesh i'll post that too but if u ride in chop, this won't be the board for you. Go a SX or Misfit. But for wake or freestyles and ride flatwater or smooth spots between/off waves this board is as fun as!

The Vantages are the most comfotable boot I've owned for kiting. They are super easy to get on and off and offer plenty of support, If any1 is thinking of converting to the darkside [}:)] try these bad boys. Ive even converted my girl to riding with em

Call me gay but I can't seen any grab handle inserts on that board? Are they hidden or is this a board for the cool kids only?

Good review though...

They are under the graphics, you have to drill though into the board in multiple places to find it. this is the reason i didn't get one. I just need that handle

Grab handles affect the designed flex patten in boards. Because its an FRT core used in the wakeboards it would bugger it up

All the new ss boards are frt core and they have grabhandles but after riding a lunacy for a while youl wonder why you need a grab handle, theres plenty of other places to grab the board.
