Thumbs Up

About 2 years ago i got on an underground raceboard and after about 20 minutes i decided kite racing was sh!t. The board was nearly impossible to control my back foot still hasnt forgiven me and i swore myself off kite racing and raceboards forever.......however last Sunday Rhys kinda pressured me into giving one of the new airush boards a go ... so.... very light wind ... my ozone 15m edge and a sector 60 board and out i go ....
If it wasnt a demo day and team riders are required to be on the beach most of the time, then i would have stayed out there all day.
What a pleasure to ride.... easy to control comfortable to ride. I also tried Rhys's serious race machine ... not for me yet... but i reckon bugger the light wind boards and mowing the lawns on light wind days.... im gonna take my new sector 60 and cruize the bay.
(Lets face it light wind kiting for an overpowered junkie like me is a little boring).
Now this is not kite racing .... this is cruizin ....scooting along nicely powered up ... on the smooth water enjoying the water the sun the ride with a couple of mates sounds like a whole new class of kiting to me...kite cruizin.... Im looking foward to heading to queens on a light wind day .... heading to Bribie down to woody point maybe nudgee ... thanks for the push Rhys, looking foward to pickin up my new Sector 60 today!!!!!!
The nice surprise is that these boards are resonably priced and not much different to a light wind board but a whole lot more capable. If you have been a bit reluctant to give these boards a go or like me had a bad experience in the early days.... time to revisit..... and come cruizen.... im thinking water proof music system is my next purchase....bit of Jack Johnson is the only thing missing...lol
