Ok due to that great Seabreeze feature I cannot reply to the original thread, so..

Are there more opinions about the FLuid EGO?
I am mainly looking for a big air kite (height, not float) which is good for kiteloops as well. Windrange should not be totally bad also.

I am intermediate whatever that means, but know how to load up and don't do lame "send it past 12 and pull the bar in" bowkite jumps

If anyone has flown that kite, or knows a better big air/ kitelooping weapon it would be great to get some infos. I was considering the Best Nemesis, but got a tip with this kite, so..

Also, how is the power per size? I am currently flying Ocean Rode Rises which are very powerful and ideally look for a kite that matches the power of a 10-11m Rise.

Cheers

Knuth i have been riding this kite for quite a while, i sell a few different brands. there are not many kites that are very good allround, honestly i keep going back to the EGO it is hands down the best allround kite i have ever ridden.

i weight pretty close to 80kgs these days and i use a 9m as my main kite, there is a 10m that will be available in the next few weeks that will totally bad ass IMO. not only is the kite fast, it has multiple attachments for speed and bar feedback so can be tuned to your liking, very well made (my quiver has been through hell and still surviving) and the chicken loop is possibly the best one on the market at the moment.

if you would like some pics and more info PM me and ill send some over.

here are a few pics, the only part about this kite i feel needs some attention is the bag. unless your a fashion victim that does not matter ( iactually like a fancy bag!)
i dont ride a surfboard much but it drifts well and unhooks very nicely, wingtips stay straight and you dont have to yank on a ton of depower.
im saving a full review till the season starts.

Are there infos yet when the 2011 model is gonna come out, and what changes to expect?
Or will the 2011 actually be released in 2011?

Got told the 2011 EGO will be out mid september just in time for summer, from what i was told there will be some small changes to the kites but have to wait for the demo to come out.

Quite a few changes to the bars for all there kites.

Also waiting for a demo of the new ATV-wave 12m in the next few weeks.

Damn I just ordered one a few weeks ago still waiting for it, bad timing I guess.
Hopefully the 2011's will just be marginally improved, if at all. [}:)]

I have just had a 9m Ego for a week. I currently ride Revs in surf mainly. The wind was a bit patchy both days and I could have done with a 10.

I was impressed with the build quality of the kite and bar for starters. Not as h/d lines as slingshot, but good all the same.

Kite was stable in the air and very quick. It probably had less low end than my Revs but it felt light in the hand and fun to throw around and it did not take much to generate some speed. Seems to have enough depower, but i didnt get to test the high end of the range unfortunately.

I am now used to below the bar depower with a cleat so the strap depower above was not my thing. Easily adaptable according to James anyway. I didnt really like the combined inflate / deflate screw in valve .. prefer a seperate valve for each personally. Good single inflation system, but the mini fifth might be better as a flagging fourth.

I struggled to get my ** together on the wave with a kite which required some more flicking around to get you down the line particularly in so so wind.

All up I'd be keen to have another go and will watch what this brand pops out this year as an good value package...

Thanks for sending it all the way over west too James. Great to see a distributor commit to get the product out and about!
