HiFi & Session available for testing for anyone interested in Brissy contact us else your local LF distributor.

The HiFi is a hybrid and is designed for insane kite loops for hardcore riders. The 5th line allows for more range and a 5th line style safety system.

The session kite has a little less flat arc and a less aggressive profile than the havoc. It is a great all around design for the beginners all the way up to pro. It is the most suited first kite and easiest to learn on kite, with good stablity and quality.

New boards here too and other than waist harness, LF is also bringing out a boardshorts version.

Jordan
The yarga was an 11 or 13m.
You should be able to get about $500-600 for your kite if it is in perfect nick and trade on a new LF 08 12m of any model. The Hifi is probably closest to your yarga but still alot different. I would try the havoc out as well. Discalaimer - I am a LF and Best retailer in Brisbane so am biased to these brands!

Hope this helps

cheers
Kurt

Deal done. Jordan got new kite and I got his Yarga. Only $300 if anyone is interested. No repairs, seem pretty good condition.

HiFi all sizes in stock now, so are waist harnesses (guys & chicks versions). They are heaps improved on the 07 one too, better padding and with a buckle on the side. Very comfy indeed.

hi Padi
Like the quick response and looping part of the Hi-fi but how does the kite respond with a total drop of the bar - does it crash and self launch finding its way to edge of the window and regarding the new harness sounds really good although at 55 i have managed to incorporate my own
natural padding.lol.

Hey Jimmy, the HiFi has the best feel and response of any kites I have ever flown especially the 12m. When you let go of the bar, the kite crashes to its side just like its brother Havoc. My school has just upgraded to the complete range of 08 Havocs (6, 8, 10, 12 & 14m) and the first thing we always teach the student is let the bar go completely and let the kite falls down. 9.9 out of 10 times the kite just falls on its side, ready to be relaunch, very similar to the Airush DNA which until the 08 Havoc came out, it was my favourite school's kite. As for the HiFi, if the wind is not strong enuv to hold it on its side, it is easy as to relaunch using the Havoc method (pull on back lines for the kite to reright to its side), or simply pull on the 5th line.

OMG It was all like Whoah, Then I was like Woah and then it was all like Wooooooooooooah...
(Finding Nemo Quote)

Seriously though, That kite is insane, I spent about 2 hours trying to keep the thing in one spot and slow myself down. Still having trouble landing wake stuff because im simply not used to landing that hard and fast. It feels like your goin up nice and slow, but when you land its unbelievable how fast your going.
Might have to get my hands on a set of bindings again 'cos its just that fast.

When the wind came up to about 25 knots... Was getting some of my biggest jumps ever and ive been out in a measured gust of 35 knots with a 9m waroo... 25knots on a 9m Hi-Fi and im doing the same thing...

Its as good as GOLD!!! (See the kite and you'll get the joke)

We'll have to have a big air jump comp soon I reckon!
I'm betting the havoc would go higher and longer.

Just a bit of General Info...

On the HiFi Logo theres a bit of Latin written there,
It says - Voveo Vovi Votum Ventus
Which by direct google translation means

'Allow This God to Toss you into the Air'

Bob - LF Spectrum 1 10m and second kite of any choice

No, you invited 'anyone' so I have rounded up the guys that jump the best I can think of - he's definately a favourite but you're still 30kg lighter so you have a clear advantage of being able to go higher and longer with/on a smaller kite. Looking forward to it - will ring you as soon as we can all get together and I will organise a video camera.

We'll do it next month, I should have 2 very special and well known guests coming from abroad Now now, landing.... we never talked about that being part of the criteria.... When I give it all, I dont normally think of how I am going to land. Arent we talking about how high we get, and not how we land

By the way, I do not encourage gambling, let alone Rhys is still under 18. I am sure I can find a good prize to give to the winner - how about a Liquid Force board? Might even incorporate this to the X-Games we have planned to hold in Brisbane shortly. It will have a circuit of obstacles where competitors perform different tricks and moves at each station, just like how they do it with skateboarding/BMX X-games, and hopefully our event will be incorporated into part of the X-games program. One of them will sure be big air! Television have been invited to cover the event, but still awaiting for confirmation. But the Redbull chicks are definitely coming Watch this box!

We opened 2 WLF145 for lessons this weekend and it is a light wind machine! Guys were struggling on their 12s and I took a 7m out with a student and it rode upwind easy as. It is defintely our recommendation for learners, and a board to keep as a light wind board. 3 students went straight up on the board first time. Try one from your local shop/school. They will also be available for testing this saturday at our demo day in Brisbane. Details in events section.

Luxury straps and comp lace all in stock. Come and try in what we considered the best straps in the market.

Had delivery of the production Session kites for 2 weeks now (6m, 9m & 12m) and they turn much faster than the prototypes we had before. Anyone who tried the first lot may find the need to rig the back lines to the furthest in knot (I even added an extra one to create more backline tension). Then they will turn as fast. The kite is stable as, lots of bottom grunt similar to the Airush Flow but faster. Great for flat water/long distance cruising.

Christmas demo/Chicks Social/Safety Seminar next Saturday (15th Dec). They will be available for testing - kites (Havocs, Sessions & HIFis), boards (all fitted with comp lace straps <most comfy in the market>), harnesses (boardshorts n waist), bags, vests, shirts, boardies, +loads of freebies to giveaway in the free prize draw. Wonder who will win the free board this year (2008 Recoil with comp lace).

Can I have some havoc advice please?

If I think I need a 12m kite for most of my riding (melbourne), and i'm looking at the havoc, does that mean I should get the 10m or stick with the 12m. (been told the havoc pulls with the power of a kite 2m more than its size).

been riding for a year, i'm 68kg with a 132 underground. average wind 15-25kn

Hi MattyB

For those type of winds I would get the 10M. The standard seabreeze in Adelaide in 15-25kn and I normally just ride a 10 with a 130 recoil. The 10m is a sick kite you will love it.
