awesome video. that is definatly not the new board unless Ian has switched back to naish. that board sounds like it would last about 5 sessions.

mighty fine riding, mighty fine! Such an inspiration. I could watch this 25 times and not get bored or uninspired. Thanks for putting it up.

Sorry the page has been removed, probably just testing the website. Nice looking board though while it lasted

If the board does come out, by the description it has the same construction as the Drifter except it would have a thicker stringer and Carbon heel tail patches.

I've had my Drifter out for about 8 sessions now and it's still perfect except for the usual heel indentation under the front foot that you get on all surfboards. They say not suitable for jumping however my lack of skill in strapless airs limits me to slashing waves.

If you like Ian Alldredge riding, check out the TDZ videos on Vimeo.

The Drifter is a 5'9, not a 6'0... FYI

Same construction as the drifter - not the same dimensions.

Emailed BWS, regarding the volume...& received this info: (for those interested)

So after looking at the TDZ web page, there has either been a typo somewhere on the dimensions or they may have made a few changes.

Nice looking board, but if you look on the website of the photos of the board, it shows the fin selection with a five fin configuration. ie quad and thruster setup.

If that was me I would be annoyed that my board didnt come with that setup

Also have you noticed that they have dropped the prices of the all the boards by up to $150?

Not selling any, or have too many to sell?

Pardon my ignorance but is that carbon fibre patches on the back edges of the board?
Is it there to avoid heel damage or give the board flex?
Either way I cant see it having much effect.

To be honest, I,m glad its thruster only as this is all I'll use when riding strapless - I do prefer Quad set-up for strapped.

I paid $695USD - new price $649USD but now does not inc fins or rear deck pad.

Yep they're for flex - No Flex. not bad for stopping toe and heel dents either

that thick stringer gotta help it from creasing or snapping. good idea for someone doing so many huge airs as ian alldredge

mate the carbon fibre patches are for strength there as its where your back foot is and they thickness of foam is alot less there. the carbon adds strength -the main reason is to avoid the glass caving around your fin boxes from landing on your board. without the carbon you get alot more damage shown around your fin boxes as the glass compresses and shows the plugs as they start to punch through the top deck as it gets squashed down. most surfboards these days have them and it helps with tail damage and adds strength- also allows for the glasser to glass the fin boxes in direct to the back of the carbon so as making them less chance of rolling and from a cosmetic point of view you dont see where this has happened- most fcs boards have those 2 lil stickers on top deck that cover this up.
