Some limitations can include re-launch and durability
If it is back country riding you are looking at I would personally stick with a foil but you will find many varied opinions around.
Here is a link to one article with some pros and cons -
www.kitemare.com/learn-about-snow-kiting/ "I would personally stick with a foil"
Why ?
I personally wouldn't .I have been snowkiting since 97 and my 9 m argo is the best kite that I have ever used for snowkiting in australia .I have used it in nuclear winds at the top of thredbo on doubled up 21 m lines and have also used the same kite with extensions (to 30 m) in bugger all wind (as light as it gets for snowkiting) which is the norm for our mountains .
Ive gotta say that initially I was sceptical .i thought it would slide all over the place and blow away in the strong stuff on launch but i just placed snow on top with the wind running over the top and pulled it around for a self launch successfully. Landing was fine too just hung onto one front line and reeled it in.Relaunch is a snack and it handles cauliflower ice surpising well too,its major challenge (more of an issue for any lines )
I had a chat with Tim who is a BC specialist and sure its a bit bulky plus a pump has to go .but with a bit of small hand pump and a bit of extra pumping its the go .Tim was also quite a fan and has been a depowerable foil fan but was very impressed with the argo.I reckon a 7 would be a bit less bulky and heavy if you need to walk but with the doubled lines and long lines its gonna do the job of say a 3m foil and a 10m foil and prolly take less room . The jury is still a bit out on this tho .perhaps a 2 m std 4 line foil on 5 m lines and a 10 depowerable foil would cover the same stuff but I reckon the 7m argo gives a better and safer all round ride .I;m definitely a fan but not a real BC head .next year i plan to kite the rolling grounds with Tim .i have an aversion to walking so we'll see how it gos and report back
So to wrap up if it is for recreational snowkiting without BC camping and all the crap I reckon for all round performance and safety an ARGO 4 SURE

Agreat retail price and can use it on the water as well

Sorry no video footage from me but this might help Its old 2009 and standard griffin but many regard the argo as a superior kite
