Anyone tried them out, I am trying to decide between a mystic shadow or FO or PAT Love TFMK.

I know the FO are supper comfortable as I own one but the lack of the option for a hook knife purley for the choice of having the option to take one out has made me look for one that does have one......?

The Mystic looks neat and light but they seem to be prone to wear as the "lighter fabric wears very easily form normal harness treatment and have heard they show a lot of wear ;)

The Pat Love looks very well made but not heard much about them.....?

Hi Addikt,

The Pat Love TFM Kite, is a premium harny made for freestyle. It has a high back and lots of support. It uses the same double kidney belt tensioners as the other other PL harnesses and has a soft thermo formed inner which adheres to the body to not ride up.

The outer is a very tough skin which handles abuse and abrasion. The TFM Kite is the only PL harny to have safety release pins on either side of the handle pass bridle so if you cop a beatin' you can release from the sides of the harny instead of fumbling around looking for the leash Quick Release. I think this should be standard on all Freestyle harnesses!

The cut is high in the back and low on the sides and front for greater flexibility when going for grabs or twisting. Like all Pat Love Harnesses, they should be worn tight, as they relax about an inch when they get wet. It takes about two weeks of riding for the PL harnesses to start getting really comfy as they stretch and mould to your form. To this end, if they are only moderately comfy when tried on, you can be fairly confident they will become part of you with continual wear.

The TFM Kite isn't cheap, but it is a great harness if fitted correctly in the first place and they are applied to the right style of rider.

Cheers,

DM
