Racing seems to be a bit under-represented here, so I hope this little teaser wets your appetite for this discipline. Kiters have outperformed sail boats in recent contests, and if you look at the video, it's quite impressive how far forward kites can fly. But, as the designer says, you gotta keep in mind the downwind performance as well. As a by-product, improving aerodynamic capabilities of a kite can also lead to impressive jumping performance!
Anyway, I found this video very interesting as it shows those aspects of kiting from a more technical perspective.

I think Knut may have Edge envy.

Come on Knut, get yourself 13m and 9m edges and I'll give you a hand to laminate a timber speed board. You could do 50 knots easy and still do some boosting on your days off from training.

^^
Edge envy, it's not that bad ;)
I posted this and the other 2 videos in the main forum, but opposed to other footage that you see there from [a] certain brand[s], it was probably seen as "product placement" and moved to gear reviews.

I will probably stay with my Nemesis, as it's got a pretty similar AR and boosts too nice to sell it. Too many kites in the quiver, I don't care
To replace my beloved 14m, the Switch Nitro starts to appear on the radar..

Speed board sounds tempting, especially when cheap
40kn peak would be plenty already, but as a sideffect, a skinny board will boost nicely off waves and also excel at oldschool dingle-dangle. Should have kept my 150 x 34.

That said, an Edge for small cash always adds another option.
