I ordered a 135x40 board from Anti-G as I wanted something a little cheaper that I could trash in light wind and progress to my Naish Thorn 127 (love it).

It took a little fiddling about to upload the graphics files for the top and bottom but then it ran well. Ordered 22 SEP, graphics uploaded correct by 25 SEP, advised board would be completed by October 14th and delivered 5 days later. The board arrived on Monday 20th - all according to plan .

Reflections: 1st picture is the graphic I sent. The top is a representation of Australian Aboriginal art, a little Ozzie map and a multicolored Roo, the bottom [}:)] is what possibly will be under it...

I have a few mediocre photos taken when it arrived. I haven't tested it yet and will keep you posted on performance or . I am not sure about the quality/comfort of the foot straps so I might decide to upgrade to sync bindings.

Anyone has any comments on these boards? Comments will be appreciated and I think everyone wants to know as well, reason why I posting timelines and general impression - not pimping, far from it. I simply would have liked to have as much information when I bought it.

Images were sent at 9500 x 3200 pixels [150 DPI]. With a final weight of 109 Mb zipped for the bottom image and 98Mb for the top [300 DPI]. Their website doesn't accept files over 120Mb and I believe this mush change if one is to get a better photo printing. I will investigate this matter further .

final graphic sent -

These were the photos they sent me as the board was being packed for shipping..

On arrival.

enjoy your board.

you will find it planes easy pops great, is easy on the knees, and takes a lot of punishment.

the straps do take a few rides to settle in and a couple of re tensions then all is well.

Mine has been run into reef, rocks, boats and up the beach. Travels with no protection lying on the floor of my ute tray.

and 3 months on is fine.

Tks Ral, do you have the plastic or the Porcelain (clay) fins? I thought theese ones are a little heavy and prossibly brital if they hit a rock. Plastic would be more forgiving but they didn't have any. I had asked for the clear ones that were advertised on their site.. we'll see how long these last

Is it the photos that make the graphics looks a little washed out and yellow or is it the actual printing?
Looks like a decent bit of kit.
Any mention on how much it was by the time it was delivered?

Great price, must have been before the $AUD crashed .. wish I'd known about them before I bought my board last week

Hi guys, I also have an anti-g board. Got mine when they were $319 :D

I can't comment on their performance as I am still learning, but the only things I had problems with are...

1.) They seem to have a fairly limited colour palette on their printer. I had a grey cross hatched background on my board which turned out green. Probably looks better than the grey so I'm not too worried.

2.) One of the fibreglass fins cracked when I was screwing it in. It wasn't overtightened as it wasn't even fully screwed in. I have no doubt they would have replaced it but I just got it epoxied back together. Couldn't be bothered waiting for it to be posted over.

When I was looking for gear I couldn't buy a decent second hand board for that price in Aus. While I fully believe in supporting the local guys, I couldn't justify spending more on a board when I'm learning and will probably end up losing it anyway.

Koma - you are right the graphics are a little washed out and the color is a little more green, when the original was blue based. I haven't said anything to them yet mainly because my pictures were low resolution. But I have some comments to send them.

the Zap - bought it privately, too expensive on retail.

I am going to be designing some artwork for boards based on Kitesurfing jumps and photo puzzles. That means I will have better quality material to start with. On my next board I will make a conceited effort about getting the collors and resolution right. Keep reading my posts and I will present some stuff later.

Appreciate everybody's input. Tks

V
