I'm thinking of going one day of the wknd, either mouth or kent reserve. Do you know what the minimum tide that's good for those spots are?
Although its high tide then, its a very low high tide of only 0.7m or something..

only been to the mouth a few times, but it works even on very low tide, you just have to pick your areas, high tide gets butter though, afternoon will be sweet

I'm going to try and swap my shift for Sunday when I go to work tonight. If not, is there anyone keen to do a second expedition to the mouth Sunday? Exam Tuesday but the conditions look too sick

Me, Croc and Alex are heading up tomorrow at 7am from home..... Got the van packed, RedBull stocked up and the tunes ready..... its going to be a sick day of waves and flat water.... bring it on!

Just worked out how much gear we have in the van.... we pretty much have a house deposit..... who needs a house when you have toys?

Almost brings tears to the eyes, just thinking how tough it must have been! Did anybody have a go at the sliders?

Went down to milang first thing, sat above 20 knots all morning, went and grabbed some chicken and then drove down to the mouth, did some car skim towing, need a longer rope, and then had an awesome wave, boosting session in some strong winds. Knees hurt but a really good day. That was just sunday.

Just want to make a quick point on the sliders at the mouth. They don't just grow out of the sand. I didn't build them, in fact I understand that BeachBum (who I don't know personally) built them.

Point is that sliders are pretty expensive to build, not to mention the time and effort that goes into the build. So, for all those frothin about hittin them it might pay to ask him first, and if you bust them up I'd say compensation would be in order.

Do the righty hey!?

Yes, the sliders are beach bums, and are very well built. I know who would come off the better if you decided to take one out with your body or board, and it would not be the rider! Their in a great position, away from the fishermen and the boats (too shallow).

good point - I droped him a pm about it a while back and he was chilled, but I think anyone keen should do the same - and yeh any damage would need to be compensated

Good on ya Tom, that's all I'm saying.

And to the couple of people, anonymous of course, that have flicked red thumbs on my previous post. Red thumbs don't bother me but what you're saying is you disagree with having to ask to use someone elses rail or that you shouldn't have to pay for it if you screw it up. In which case you are the very same selfish d1cks that I had in mind when I wrote my previous post.

I knew you were out there otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. See, you've just validated my point.

So if you are not wearing boots, and arent unhooked. send the doode a text mesage and dont hit something built in a public area untill you get the ok. Pay your toll and go nuts. Then the council and you can sue the bloke that put it there perminatly without any permision if it all goes horibly wrong.

With a bit of luck he will build a kicker to.

Stick it up them Fozzy, this gear is only for dicks with boots. Like me and you.
