SAKSA AGM
The SAKSA AGM for this year will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, Sept 3rd, 2008 at the West Beach Surf Life Saving Club.
Official proceedings will commence promptly at 7:15pm followed by dinner and drinks. The SLSC is becoming world famous for its Schnitzels and it’ll be good to get the kiting community together in readiness for an awesome lead up to summer. Family and friends welcome as well.
Members will receive a copy of the agenda in the next few days.
See you there.
SAKSA Sign Up Day
We’re doing the Demo Day again with the Shops to give you the chance to re-sign up for the 08/09 year (starting October 1st) and check out the latest gear coming in for summer.
We’ll all getting together this year at Chicken Shop (Mirani Crt, Semaphore Pk) from 11am on Saturday, September 13.
We had an awesome turnout last year and with Crocker’s BBQ trailer turning out the snags, we hope to get even more people there. Hopefully the wind gods will be on show as well…
See ya all there.

Thankyou very much to everyone who came to the agm, a club is only as good as the members who support it so thanks to everyone.
PS thanks also to mr safety who put traffic cones all over the black car in the carpark to make sure nobody walked into it on the way out.
So Jordy, being that u work for an insurance company ill take it ur new Swan vehicles has pretty good insurance cover!
Jordy, does your employer use another insurer to take out extra large professional indemnity insurance to cover you? It'd be a good way of sending your competition broke...
Thanks for all who came to the AGM. We are pleased to announce that the same Committee members will continue on for another year and we're looking forward to another successful season.
Remember that the Sign Up Day is next Saturday from 11am at Chicken Shop. Drop by, the monster BBQ will be there plus it's a chance to check out some of the latest gear.
Hopefully there'll be some breeze around so we can get a ride in as well...
Chappy, I hope you have public liability insurance for your 'RIB' night. No doubt with your cooking some poor noodle is bound to get poisoned!! I know you struggle cooking sausages so maybe you should have a hamburger night instead?? Surely you can't get that wrong. I just feel that going from sausages to ribs is just too bigger step for you!!
By the way, thanks for the invite !!!
hey boys, what if its windier down the coast?...can we leave a sign on the fence at the chicken shop to say we pissed off somewhere else...w/nw at the chicken shop doesnt give me a chubby!....geoffrey,you know what does[}:)]
Well, just incase you can't read the wind graph. Conditions are looking sick for the SAKSA sign up day this Saturday. Kick off is at 11am, so see ya all there
Hi all,
Thanks to everyone who came along yesterday. It was an awesome day; Breeze came in mid arvo, everyone got a ride and a feed, plus a chance to check out some new demo gear from the shops.
We had more sign ups than we were expecting and it's great to meet many new members.
Thanks to all that helped out with the various duties including Crocker for the BBQ and Jamie for the donation of drinks.
Awesome photos above Mick, thanks for posting them. Nice of the whale to drop by on cue...!
We'd love to see some more photos, they can be sent to info@saksa.com.au
Cheers
Chappy
Also there was some banter about a few lads getting together for a downwinder but it has fizzled as it looks like it'll be too onshore but I think there are a few heading back to chicken shop for a ride.
If we keep getting warm weather like yesterday, we'll start to get some seabreezes, downwinders become more reliable and our world will be complete again...!
i really wish i could have made it
i blame gibo for giving me his stupid ABC shot
with a jager bomb chaser and tequila for desert
damn you GIBO
