Hey!
Just want to introduce myself to the TKSA ppl. I'm a dead set Noob but been practicing with a freind down on The Neck (Schoolies) for most of the summer. Made the trip up to Marrawah and had a look at what the Ducks get upto - Was impressed!
I did my Kitesurf course up in Brizzbekkisten, and man, there are more kiters up there for sure to help with launches and stuff and 40 kites in the air sure looks awesome, but there's no locations anywhere near any of the mainland capitals that come close to what there is down here in Tas!
Took some mates out with me yesterday to Greens Beach up north here and had an awesome day! Fgotmy arse outta the water too with my 4mtr Ozone Trainer too!
Was wondering if there's a gathering in March? The TKSA wwwSite mentions something but its hard to work out if its happening this year or not....

this forum has been v quiet lately, windsurfers are chatty instead! kiters on water or with family stuff i think?! bit of breeze today maybe with luck

I think i met you briefly on the beach at Greens? Yep I think Marion ducks is still on, spoke to Iain the other day at the mecca bowl and he was still keen to host it but hadnt heard from anyone. Ill give Sam a call and find out more details, dates etc and post it back here. Iain has a beautiful 200 acre property high on the hill with ocean glimpses and he and his wife are super keen kiters. We are a km down the road towards the beach and will happily host a BBQ one night too.
March is prob not the ideal time for kiting at Marion, but hey this is tassie and you can get wind all year, there are plenty of good surf spots close by with both the east and south swells covered. Bring your mountian bikes for some no wind fun. Hopefully we wont need them but if we do there are some killer single tracks just down the road.

Yeah we met two blokes on the beach, one of you had a green glove on an injured hand..... Bit hardcore that! The other bloke was the Pres.....
Anyway, just came back from St Helens...... great camping!
