got a mate with an ion and he doen't rate it. Mioght even try an NPX Assassin.
Melbourne's kite stores suck! You have to buy online or go interstate to get what you want

Other option to consider is a dry for winter. Pretty much the same price as a wetty, just as flexible and warmer when you get out. Got one two years back and not sure I could ever go back to a wetty in winter.

Picked up a mystic drysuit 2 years for the same price as a wetty (Landed cost under $500) because UK finishes their winter as ours starts so you get the end of season specials and the GST comes off so that covers your cost of shipping. No GST this end because its under the $1000 cap. This is the place I got mine from and came with a free undersuit.

The Mystic / Slingy importer for Oz is boardcrazy in NSW, they would be the best place to get info on any mystic gear, any shop in melbourne can order it for you

yeah read some posts on SB about Drysuits. I just think they'd be too bulky. I'm trying a lot more tricks these days and spend quite a bit more time in the water and not sure if a drysuit would be up for it.

I could order some gear in but i'm not sure of sizes. Want a new wettie and mystic harness and thinking of dropping from a small to an xs as i've always had the straps cranked to the max... went to Katani, kite republic, SHQ and RPS on sat and only came across one store that had the new warrior in and they only had it in med and large.

Check out the ocean rodeo drysuits they have a couple of kite specific one i had the pyro pro a few years ago and loved i was kiteing with snow on the beach in Maine USA.

oceanrodeo.com/kiteboarding/?v=7516fd43adaa

I sold it before i moved to melbourne a few years ago bad move i think would be nice some days.
There surf drysuit looks pretty cool aswell anyone seen or used one of those?

I have a buddy who sells them in the states if any ones interested i might be tempted to get one if we could get the price low enough.

Depends on which one. This is the new style of drysuit.
