Just completed a short trip to the state immediately to our west.

Lots of wind, lots of kiting locations, very few people, bugger all fresh water.

Highly recommend it for a 4WD kiting trip. Similar to Victoria but a bit warmer and you are allowed to drive on the beaches.

no these shots are not at the Coorong - have had good sessions at the Murray mouth at the top of the Coorong though

SA seems to have an unlimited number of great spots - it has a deceptively long coast line - 3,816 kms compared to Victoria's 1,868 kms, with a lot of the coast line facing the prevailing SW wind and/or SE seabreezes

I have had a few trips over there and always had numerous good sessions - you need to be proficient at self launching and landing as there are not many people around, let alone kiters
