Hey, I have been to alot of the kite spots around Perth over the last year but I was hoping to find a shallow flat water spot to progress with unhooked tricks.

I've been to safety bay afew times and its a great spot but it goes out of depth very quickly. Recovering the kite and board after a wipeout puts me off trying some tricks.

I was wondering if anybody knew of any flat and shallow spots within 1-2 hours from Perth which would be suitable?

Cheers

There are some spots around Mandurah in the estuary, but beware of cobblers - their spines hurt like hell!

Huh? Rig suicide and learn to bodydrag, or ride with boots. If you're only just starting to do advanced tricks you shouldn't be in knee deep water anyway or you're going to break you neck. You're gonna take some hits dude so getting back to your board is the least of your worries.

Hey Mate ,

Point water is a good spot to try it, also has a sand bar crossing the river so it is very fun to jump over :)

I hope you like that spot .... personally a love it .

Good winds
