For the 5th year in a row, CQBC will be hosting the Cape Hillsborough Blokart Regatta which is to be held on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September 2013
Friday will be registration and practice day.
The earlier tides mean Saturday racing is planned to start around 9 - 9.30am.
The event will be run with short course racing over the 2 days and good sportsmanship is the main objective.
Racing is expected to be finished by 4pm on Sunday and presentation will be held soon after, when the results are tallied.
Cape Hillsborough Resort has caravan sites, camp sites, cabins and studio rooms available and can be contacted at

We have accommodation being held under a 'blokart' listing.
Please advise the resort that you are part of this group to book one of the cabins, sites or rooms secured for this event.

A big Monday of blokarting on Bucasia Beach for CQBC
1 newbie, keen from 9am
followed by Bucasia Oldfarts team (Eric, Geoff, Alan, Jim, Paul) starting from 11am
Darren & Bull just after lunch
Gavin & Barak a bit later
and Chris after work,
totalling 11 karts for a Monday run.
Multiple courses were set up, including a demanding high speed figure 8 track that tested people's skills & trust.
A couple of spin outs showing that the oldies are starting to push that bit harder.
The tide is a bit later tomorrow, forecast still looks good, maybe tomorrow is another possibility.

Six of us out for another practice round.
First course set was good and all got through well.
Next course was in reverse direction and really challenged all.
Tides this week are all good for afternoon sailing and the forecast is promising.

Only 5 weeks until race day and early entry discount closes 31-8. We have over 30 sites and cabins booked at Cape Hillsborough so we are expecting a good turn out again. Racer numbers should reach mid 40's again so competition will be keen.
