I couldn't find a post on the Worlds so i thought i would add one.

For those of you who don't already know the Blokart World Championships are being held in NZ from the 28th September to the 4th October 2008.
There are over 100 entries and i see there are 9 competitors from Australia heading over to race, all the best guys / gals, have fun and do it for the rest of us.

Cheers

We are going to be cheering on our LLLSC Commodore Captain Bryan Cook on as he does his best to show his native countrymen that we Aussies know how to sail go Bryan

Regardless of placings, it looks like a great competition! I'd be wrapped to see that many landyachts in one place fighting it out for a win. A pity about the weather, from the pics it looks damn aweful!

Hope someone caught that mexican wave with a mobile, video camera, etc and will put a vid up somewhere

Nah, the weather was great. Lost about 5hrs overall!! Did 20 races in 8 divisions, and if memory serves me right, about 13000 laps!! approx 300m circuit. Close enough to 4000km covered by these yachts in five days! Had no wind to 20 kts, and yes hope it was videoed!!

Oh except the westerlies were damn cold!!!!!
