I was wondering how many there are in the LLF mini fleet, so if you've built one post a pic or just a reply in here and we might be able to get Paul, the designer, to allocate official build numbers to each landyacht.

Perhaps also include a link to your build thread if you wrote one.

To answer a question I have received, - if you're prepared to give credit to Pauls design for at least part of your mini (even if its just the specs), then you're welcome to post it here. It might be useful for others if you describe the reasons and benefits for varying from the original plans.

aus230 mini was built in the same spirit as the Lake Lefroy mini but I guess I can not help myself and have to muck around and change things, It can now take wheel barrow wheels to conform with the new mini rules (prefer the 20" but thems the breaks)

Another crazy hybrid idea. Believe me, it did not have to be this complicated, but I had a hell of a lot of fun building it and learnt heaps along the way.

Schrodinger's Cat may as well join the ever growing ranks on the register seeing as Paule did one hell of a lot of advising,--------------------one way or another, on the construction.. IT LIVES AGAIN!

Diablo (Cisco's Horse) built to the LLF Mini Plans except for a few minor mods.

Two of the mods (45 degree seat rear and 1 inch solid axles) will be reverted to original design.

As you can see in the video, my ballet training held me in good stead, allowing me toperform a perfect pirouette. Shame about the landing. Guess that will often happen when you chase a willy-willy.[}:)]

This is my second go at making a LLFM. I followed the plans for the frame almost as shown, I changed the rear axel to a drop down for ease of construction. The pod was inspired by Landyacht's speed pod. I used insulation foam to make the core, layed glass over the foam and removed the foam. The seat back and base are 1/4 inch plywood stiched and glassed over.

Once the glass was layed, I thought I could make it look cool. Inspired by Paul's flying winking pig logo, I created a snout and ears using a lost foam casting. The final facial details were done with bondo glass, bondo hair and bondo. The whole thing was sanded and primed. My new friends at First Choice Collison in Red Deer painted and clear coated the pod. After I airbrushed some detail on the face, they re-cleared it. The wings were made from laying glass over a side of the pod (protected by low adhesive plastic ). I used bondo glass to create some detail. The wings were airbrushed and glued to the body with silicone.

I used an uncut 6.2m windsurfing sail. The boom is 1 1/4 inch aluminum welded to follow the shape of the bottom of the sail.
