I know this doesn't exactly fit here, but I finally found a place to sail in Albuquerque...not perfect but fun. Balloon Fiesta Park. Afternoons during the week you have to dodge soccer players, but over the weekend it is mostly empty except for a few kite flyers. Decent wind last Sunday got me up to about 40mph/65kph on the north south paved strips. Sailing in grass is challenging but fun. Makes me appreciate big dry lake beds. Next time I'll take a camera person.

Certainly looks like a Great Spot, especially those Car Parks.
Blake, This is not a criteria but it would be nice if you guys could also note
What State you are from under he America bit. Seems that most of you are from Cal'ie. I tend to Sieve through Google Earth to check out That City or the Area where you are going to Sail. Just and interest thing is all.

Nice can you just pick it up and move it down to South Australia that would be awesome

Speaking of places to sail

I have a dream to create a google Earth file containing place to sail and details about how to go about it. eg council approval etc.....

But thats a topic for another day

Unfortunately, the carparks outside the red line are nasty, bumpy, sharp objects, loose gravel and locked gates when they aren't full of cars.

The the way the forum profile works it won't let you enter a state unless your in Oz. I'll go back and see if I can fake it some how.

yup, USocentricness is much more common than Ozocentricness...I couldn't figure out an easy way to edit the nationality to add New Mexico...which a lot of Americans don't seem to know is in the US.

It's all Bill Gates's fault.
