this year we thought we'd try a bit harder for the christmas parade, and build a multimast, "big yacht" ,then sail it down the main street. we're banking on it being an easterly,so we dont have to haul down the "hill"
heres the lower and upper course sails ready to warp onto the mainmastwhen the donated timber arrives during the week.
a large flat bed trailer has had a front wheel attached ,so more photos as it starts to look like a proper barque
the upper course is about 2.5m,maincourse 5m
the jibs should account for another 4m,the knock(between the main and mizzen )will be around 6m , the mizzen is another 6m
.....and Santa called upon the little children, to come aboard two x two
, so outa the diggings came hordes.......
goodon Santa and all his helpers. Is TPI playing Santa or Willy
Wonker ?[}:)]
