The only place I've sailed is like 70 minutes from my home. It's a lake bed, maybe 4 miles by 3/4's. I've tried holding a beer between my legs and another one under the seat. I've had a small ice chest, with sandwitches bounch out of the cart. Heck, I've Lost a beer without even knowing it. So I rigged up a larger size ice chest that will hold a days worth of adult beverage and a few sandwitches, along with enough ice to keep things Cold. This lake bed gets Hot, 100-105*F and cool or chilled beer Sucks! 'Got to be Cold, w/floating ice is best The framework is light gauge sheet metal bent to 90* The side 'hold downs' are stainless. The unit can be removed in 5 seconds by pulling 2 'pins' Didn't drill any holes in the axle, used the 1/4" bolt that holds bearing in, and 2 hose clamps to secure the other side of the framework. Plenty strong and secure. No $ spent and looks good - Hey that's my favorite kind of stuff Can be opened and closed with one hand 'on the fly' It works in the garage, but I better take it out to the lake to make sure

A carton of beer, a carton of beer!!!!!
That is the "fine" for leaving your welding helmet face down to be filled up with grinding sparks.

Great idea to keep you rehydrated and the snack idea is VERY sound.
