There are some nice looking Mini 5.6 yachts at the championships...
Good to see the class is starting to build up world wide.

A massive variety of yachts out there on the beach. Some big sails as well. Class 5 ones at 5.5m2, a smattering of 6.5m2. Though this lot are showing an 8m2 one on their price list - http://www.beachrunner.net/eng/MicroRace.html. On this occasion the flat 'y' frame seemed to be working as it also allowed the pilot to stand on the chassis for hopping out and running

I don't think they should Take Off as they become very unstable with the Wheels Off the Ground..

Nikky poo's! Haven't you ever taken off? Dont knock till it happens to you!
I was 'flying' back to the club house on a 6 to 7 km down wind leg when i hit a ridge in the salt and launched my yacht for about 4 to 5 metres. The feeling is best described as "exhilerating" to say the least, as it is over just as you realise what has happened, and, try as I might, I could not deliberately make it happen again. It is one of those rare experiences that happen when your'e out in perfect conditions
