Well nature has intervened and soaked Pink Lake.
We have had 24mm of rain during the last 2 days and it's still falling.

It's sad for all the effort that the "Festival of the wind" organizers have put in to bringing this "Recycle regatta" together.

We have still had a fat time testing in the last couple of weeks and will continue, if and when it dries again.

Pink Lake is a fantastic venue, when it's dry and only a few kms from Esperance town centre.

We have certainly done a lot of kms testing them anyway. The brigade boys were very impressed and have had a lot of fun.

To everyone that has helped, or offered advice during my build of these craft,
please accept a huge thankyou. I'm certain the construction will not stop now.

Cheers, Chook Henderson

statistically youve gotten your first regatta out of the way, the next one should be a crackermaybe you could hit the beaches before they get weeded up over winter, dunns rocks go fishing if the wind is crap.

Yeh, I know they have been windsurfing on Lake Warden lately, bushkid.

Thanks for your support guys, I just feel a bit numb.

I'm liking the Easter idea a lot Paul.
We cancelled our fire brigade meeting tonight, as there wasn't anything to discuss anymore.
Next thursday at our regular training, I'll put it to them.

On a positive note.
I got a 1800mm long windsock sewn up and completed the pole today.
I will fit it with a flood indicating marker tomorrow.

Hey guys

Just out of curiosity What is a Virgin???

Just to keep you up to date on my antics over here in Tas'. Over recent months I have been having a little health problem. Being a recent none smoker I have managed to have a few strange sort of Chest Pains (It is too hard to explain exactly ). Anyway I quietly worried as to what they may be it doesn't pay to try to Self Diagnose as the carry on varied ever few days confusing the issue. Upshot is I went to Launy to my Heart Surgeon and told him what was happening. To cut a Short Story, Long it seems I may need another Stent . Phew! Thank the Laws of Providence/ Kama for that. With what has been happening when loading up the Razor and combined Excitement Stress, I was thinking I may have to sell up my Machines and become a Forced Old Man way before my time. Shoot! Stent that is great, a bit like getting the Plumber in to clear a blocked Drain I'm sure Bryan would appreciate being seen as a Plumber[}:)]. So in a couple of weeks I will be out there again able to breath and not be trying to leave my Little Mink Buttonhole in the paddock.

The winds are starting to pick up and I have to be ready for them.
Ron

Bloody hell Nikrum!!.
Good that you got it sorted out, before you had a fuel blockage.
I had to "google" virgin as well.

I will risk the napping, Test Pilot 1.
I will see how it goes when the lake dries here.
I'm going to haunt you guys come Easter, as Lake Lefroy sounds too good to
miss.
I'll see who else I can drag along.

I must be getting old.
I ran out of spray on contact glue for the foam so a quick trip to "Bumblings" and grabbed a can. (after finding someone old enough to know what I needed and where it was) I got to the trade desk and no notebook, that I carry money and cards in. It was back on the bench in my shed.
I wasn't driving the 5 kms home again to get it , so into the glove box of the car, under the seats and in the seat backs and still come up 25 cents short.
The blokes on the desk just cracked up laughing at my handfulls of small change and the security guy, dobbed in the 25 cents.
Geez, I owe him now eh.

I've got the seat cover cut out ready to sew up.

Chook,
Do you ever owe him... Mind you a few years back before I retired I worked with a bloke who owned a beat up old falcon and it started to die so the Old Snow decided he was going to trade it in, "Fair enough"Says you.. Thing is a helped him clear it out and amongst assorted Tools, Harness and Junk (Lolly wrappers receipts etc) We removed a hundred or so pounds of small change $2 and $1 coins) He was a real mess. He could nearly have bought himself a new car.
Ron
PS. A fuel blockage must be close as I could feel it last night. The last one was a 90% block.

Go to your local auto store, as I am sure there is a Winn's fuel additive product thats great for clearing blocked fuel lines.
I had a real 'OLD' bomb that it worked a treat on, [}:)]

Hey that would be fantastic Paul.
I'm very interested in getting a fiber glass body sorted out.

I've discussed it with my line manager and student yacht construction looks likely. Fiberglass is part of the Vocational Education Training program, so a yacht, would tick all the boxes nicely.
I must learn to lay glass as there are so many possibilities with it.
I'm a plastic welder, but just don't get on with fiber glass. Like everything I guess need more exposure to using it.

We are currently building (stripping down) an EF Falcon station wagon that 2 students, that have a racing licence will use in the Demolition Derby at our local speedway in 3 weeks time. The students are just loving this project.
Had to laugh today as it wouldn't start. They had removed the loom to power the electric fuel pump in the fuel tank. The car weighs much less without this though!!!!

Well "Code Red" has now done 600kms and lovin' every minute of it. We got another 105 kms in today with 3 different pilots.
Forecast looks good to keep the wheel bearings warm all weekend.

These wheels on my buggy go really well on the softer surfaces, Ron.
2 psi in the front and 1 psi in the rear. These are sysmic 8" x 8" rims on the rear and 4" x 8" on the front with "bigfoot" kenda tires, 21" high and 12" wide.
