Just a little something for thought.
Recently I picked up at a very reasonable rate a set of 6 Cannon Balls???????? Well they are called Bocce Balls/Boules, They were a little grotty though but I have had great pleasure pollishhing my Bocce Balls and they are now nice and shiny. My point is what a handy little something extra to carry on the Salt pan Trip and all that flat space.. All the Camp is set up the machines are all maintained and inspected ready for the off. Now there is time to sit and wait for the wind to get up and what better pass time to add to the wait than a game of Bocce?? Perhaps you could just sit and shine your Balls.

Hey it is just a thought..

Ooooh! You boys are naughty but "I do like you"
Alls I'm trying to do is get some of the Old Aussie sense of humour and genuineness back. It seems to me the Old Ones are the peoples that had it all, they may not have been rich----monetarily but they were rich in their one language, culture and ways. The only things I would see changed is their brutal ways but even they were being ironed out from the Victorian era. A flogging with the buckle end of a 2" Belt or what ever came to hand was definitely not the way. Anyway enough of that. Just let the POM's be POM's, Yanks be Yanks and Aussies be Aussies. We don't have to Lick any bodies Butt now do we have to aspire to be them. Be friends take the Piss from each other and enjoy their company but lets do it from our own Mongrel Point of view. Remember the Shackle Scars have barely faded.[}:)]

NO! I do not want to go back to Nikrums (Murkins) Page. There are too many folks without a sense of humour or irony.

Oh by the way; Being a little nuts is the only way I can survive this Rat Race we live in. FU Jack I'm Fire Proof and Dog eat Dog has now become the norm out there and I Point Blank refuse to become part of it.
At least here most folk enjoy a bit of banter and don't take life too seriously.

Nikrum,

Great footage! Interesting to see the amount flex and load in the side arms and the seat as you pull everything on and really get going.

Nice work.

hanging onto the axle is a big no no. If you run over anything or something breaks you will do some damage . I still have the scars and cold morning pains from doing just what you were doing.
and I was on sand with less flexy axles

I will have to take the risk Paul as there is only one other thing I can hand onto and that could get me jailed. I have found that it is very rare for things to just break catastrophically and I am positive that CF will give me plenty of warning.
I should imagine it could get very interesting in deed if an axle shaft broke whilst up on two. One could find themselves facing a wheel spinning very quickly------Face Down. I should also mention the Battens, Paul, I used the Tubular ones out of those 11sqm sails. I think they designed as Telegraph posts but the do a good job of flattening out the sail. The axles are another I've not mentioned as yet. I turned up a couple of tapered inserts that run out to the ends of the Axle Shafts. Tassie Myrtle does a good job of removing too much flex.
Ron
PS; This arvo is fixing to be good as well but I will have to go to either Somerset or Pegg's but should get some good runs. I may run the speed sail.

Trouble is, Paul, I have to reach out to get my weight shift out where I need it in a turn But it is on the upwind side.

OK! For some fun and and this is for true and not a joke.

Last Wednesday I went down to Launy for a Cardiogram as I have been having a few prob's inside my Rib Cage (Still having some discomfort) anyway. All seemed to be going well though a bit of nastiness had to happen for them to get into the Hardware and travel the Plumbing. All this I was able to watch on the monitors. It is a funny feeling (Not everyone has this experience) the wire traveling up through your arteries and into your heart. Anyway Brian Herman (my Cardiologist(and I will sing his praises) Directing procedures from behind a Lead Glass screen. The surgeon was checking out my plumbing when he went into an area he had been before and I felt really crook and had to breath really deep to control my urge to vomit and at that point the surgeon backed out of the Aorta and I felt much better. Brian came out from behind his screen and took over and next the Ex-ray head was all over my like a rash trying to clarify the problem and it was about this point I had what I refer to as an In-FARKSHION. What actually happened is Brian traveled back into the Aorta and the Crap hit the Fan. I watched all my vital signs drop off of the bottom of the Monitor and I thought FARK, this can't be good "It'sa not so bad, HEY! Shuddup you face" I drifted downwards fully aware of what was being said about "FARK! Atropine 300, More Atropine 600 (Not sure if they put more in than that). Next this I hear is "Breath Mr Williams Breath" me "I'm not Breathing Fark?? Shiite!Deep Breaths" Open my eyes to see all my vitals come online. All the theater staff then stepped back and went into about a 15 minute conference and debate as to what had just occurred and why. Brian apologized for what had just happened and said he would explain what had just happened, he also told me they had Just Crashed my system In the end the Upshot was I am due to have a Double Bypass. I am not looking for sympathy now Well Wishes (They seem to be Bad Karma) So just tell me to "Break a Leg" or some such. The worst Pain came from the penetration of the Cannula. Where I went was not a scary nor unpleasant experience, nor was I afraid/Scared at any time, just totally relaxed. I tell you this because no doubt some of you will have to travel this path and your Karma will decide how you handle it and the final outcome. I did go through a period (One Day) Stress/Depression but it is all plain sailing from here[}:)].

On the way down to the hospital we are sitting on around 112/115kmh and I looked at Jenni', Laughed and said "I doubt that I would be traveling so fast if I thought I'd be driving towards my End"[}:)] She chortled and looked at me. Whilst being prepared for Theater I said to the attendant " Hey! Don't blame me" pointing at my Chest i said "Blame him, he is the one that wants to be a Star in a Major Production". Many a True Word Spoken in Jest!"

I will stress that this True Tale is only for your further entertainment and hopefully be helpful for those that follow on, "There is No Point in being afraid of the Inevitable"

Ta! Lads,
It seems the consensus of opinion in the medical world is that I do have a heart, all-be-it not much larger than a Dried Pea! However when they finally decide to open me up and before they stitch a Zipper in I will ask the Surgeons to photograph it for posterity and proof that " I am not a Heartless Basket) as some may think[}:)]. It is all good and adds to the flavor of life. Funny thing is the episode was just another experience for me and Strangely enough I am quite looking forward to the operation. Perhaps not the discomfort of the first couple of days after but none it will be another of those life experiences. [}:)] Now I wonder what a Psychologist would make of that?? "The Man's a Head case?"
Ron

PS; TP1, I ain't into Brass, prefer Leather and Big Japanese ones.(Taiko Drums)
