I thought so. I was present when they unveiled it. I came 44th out of 58 competing in Promo's at that event!

I thought the same thing while filming the video. The idea is to show how easy and how little effort to move.

That is just fantastic.

I love the "power hop", as it accelerates away.

Very ingenious. Well done.

Thank you. It's true.
I'm enjoying this very much.
But, I have too much to do.
This is the beginning.

I'm curious??????
Can you show us a close up of the rail runners/bearing system.

You have put a lot of work into getting it to run so smoothly and stay centred on the rails. A first class effort !!!!

I am guessing its probably based on something like rollerblade wheels- easy to find and mount onto a lightweight frame, a couple of wheels on the top of the rail and one on each side to stop the wheel assembly "falling off"

put a set up like that at each corner of a rectangular chassis with diagonal braces to stop any twisting of the whole chassis.

It would be pretty light and very stable being on the rails.

Stephen.

Thank you!!!!!

That is a very clever system. It's very well thought out and great to see you having a ball in a totally different arena than what we use for sailing.

I would be fitting a rear view mirror, for when the freight train is approaching though.

Stephen, once again you were on the money.

I had a bit of an advantage- one of the Brandrill bosses that visited Wodgina when I was working there happened to own a property in the southwest that has an abandoned trainline running past his back fence.
We brainstormed how to build outriggers for mountainbikes so they could ride on one of the unused rails, with a collapsable outrigger reaching to the other rail.
The riders pack was used as ballast on the outrigger to prevent tipping over.

The outrigger unclipped and could be stowed on the bike so you could still ride on roads.

The boss was planning on making a couple to test- and if it worked, hiring them out to tourists.

I was transfered to Sinclair soon after and never found out what happened.

Thanks Chook2. and thanks for the advice of the rear view mirror.
I have yet to be done.

I'm still working on security and speed. When exceeding 40 km/h with engine will place the sail.
