Excellent work to the pilot, but especially the camera person Its so hard to get the best moments on video, hard enough with a normal camera (and even then, when do we ever have one when really needed).

Its alot trickier than it looks, you have to make your turns minimalist, and start your turn as you are level with the flag your trying to avoid. the faster you go , the earlier your turn must start. If you slide at the back its all over.
heres one where miranda made it. shes getting good, just wouldnt give up till she'd done it
If it goes really wrong, the camera person gets run down

The camera was just the movie setting on a panasonic still camera. format is a .MOV type. you tbe simply accepted it. its not a good format as I cant find any freeware to edit or make longer movies with the format. also very slow to upload

Paul, did you hit the camera person in the first one? The second one is super clear! Great filming!

havent run over one of those for years!!!!! I was the camera man on both. you have to learn to hang in till the last, so she just missed me!
it get harder with each flag as the yacht wants to start to slide

that time about 7 m. Vics 5 could'nt do the last 2 flags.
the trick at speed is to barely turn the yacht, and almost scrape the flags
