Hello there, I'm new here and following you quite a while because I'm busy building a mini the way most of the people on this forum do.

I'm dutch, living in the Netherlands, about 7 km from sandy beaches. I really like the way people here on the forum are busy making landyachts!

So, I got an old sail from a sailboard and i'm planning recutting this. I went through the sailmaking part on this forum and made a recut from the photo of the sail. I thought that this is an good idea before cutting the real thing

.

I want to make an Mini sail as described in one of the first treads by 'Landyacht'.

I want to know from you if the way I am planning to recut the sail is Ok??
Thanks for responding!

Hiko

Hi Ronald Welcome to the forum Good to see you are building a Mini
You wont be disappointed with your choice
Hope to see some pics of your progress
That proposed sail modification looks good to me Hopefully the originator of all this [landyacht] will pass his eye over it and give his verdict
Good luck with the building

Hi Ronald M,
It looks good to me too, just follow the Dotted Lines in Landyachts Re-cutting descriptions and I doubt that you'll go wrong. One should also remember to Tug ones Forelock when mentioning that name, The Guru of our sport.
I to am just a tad more advanced in the same process as you.
Regards,
Ron (Ronald W)

that looks fine to me , i have to say the idea of cutting up the photo first is brilliant, we understood your idea immediately
is it possible to sail the 7 km to the beach ? now that would be a nice little challenge
