Thanks Phil,Tellowie beach,in between Pirie and Port Germaine, fairly high tides at the moment so the beach isn't drying off like it does in the summer.

when you rig the sheeting you can pretension the down haul before you tie it to the final sheetrope pulley/ rachet. I wouldnt use a rachet or more pulleys at the rear. you would need to let out too fast for a more complicated sheeting

excellent video, I would make an extra mast base with more rake and see if there is a difference, as you are lifting wheels easy

I got all my pullys from Whitworths at Pt Adelaide. They had a good range of ratchet pullys there when I got mine.

Excellent video, it looks like it sails really well!!

In the "good old days" the sheeting arrangement you had at the back was the standard, then a refinement at the front was to have the block(pulley) on the front tied onto the end of a downhaul.
I hope this explains in words!
So, up and down at the back, along the boom to the final mainsheet block which floated.
Downhaul was a set of pulleys fron the tack of the sail down to the frame with the tail at the top which then came along to the floating block.
When you pull the mainsheet harder, the downhaul automatically pulls down too.
It takes a bit of setting up, but when you get it right, it works a treat. To get some pre-tension on the luff you simply have a stopper knot just out of the final downhaul block.
Make sense? Like Pauls "racing sheet" except that a bit more power on the downhaul set.

Landyachts "racing sheeting" is like what we had on the Imac Fed 5s. I ended up having the same number of pully ratios on the front or the boom as the back. I could just rock the boom forward and back to change the position of the maximum camber, as well as sheet in and change the debth. It was easy to sail.

The big thing to watch out for in Pirrads micromini, is that he will need to let out REAL quick , so a simple set up , but with some down haul is neccesary
its about time you added this one to the landyacht register , pirrad definitely a diploma job
