That is a remarkable transformation. You must be very pleased.

Did you do it by your own hand, or got some of it done for you?

Nice companionway steps, and nice airy colour scheme. May I ask what paint type (2-pack, one-pack, oil-enamel etc.) you decided to use for the saloon interior, and on the cabin top/ceiling, and why?

Thanks for the comments. I did not use any trade services apart from wielding new tanks and a compression post. For the white I used wattle paints 2 pack and rolled it to perfection. I choose 2 pack as it has the longest life span with out having to re-coat. The light timber is Qld ash and the darker is good quality marine ply all coated 5 times with wattle espotol. I did roll some light grey single pack around the galley area which now is due for a re-coat 5 years on.

I don't want to bore you guys but here are some cool pics on before and after building a semi hard spray dogger.

I like the white gloss finish, easy to clean and reflects a lot of light, making for a bright easy to see and live with interior.

When I look at boats for sale I reject most of them for their dark and dingy interiors, caused in part by using very dark timbers and also use of too small a size of hatch and port lights.

I totally agree. The first thing I did when I brought my Dunc was remove the dark veneer and second was to cut 4 hatches into the deck and also adding more windows. Problem being now is that I get to much light on the hot days which causes heat. Which causes me to drink more cold beer!
