Thumbs Up

Surf has been ordinary, and was bored today so thought I would put up some pics of my new board.

DC LNO805 Board Dimensions: 8 '5 X 27 7/8 X 3 ¾ Tail 16 ½ Nose 17 ¾ Volume on Shape3d 98 liters. Floats my 78 kg fine.

Brief I gave Dale was the goal of reducing the need the do the back foot shuffle from rail to rail. The blue DC in the first shot I have had for a year, and love it, very quick. But like most sups when the wave gets really steep or you want to go into a cutback you have to move your toes or heel onto the rail to make it hold which I have always found a bit annoying. This board is a big improvement.

Volume pushed forward compared to my last one, rounded pin, extremely thin through the tail, flat deck. Step rail only from the midpoint back where you need it, but full rails forward for improved paddle. Big concave / cathedral hull through the nose to create lift to offset the forward volume, going to flat, then double concave through the tail with a bit of spiral vee .

Haven't had it in any decent surf yet, but so far really enjoying it
