Hi, can someone tell me the blade length on the Fanatic paddles.
I know they are 8" or 8.75" but what is the blade length from bottom of blade to where it meets the shaft.
Just trying to compare to QB, and Starboard blade sizes

Thanks.
Mal

In terms of paddle feel - In my hands the 8" fanatic 80/Carbon feels like a starby 525 but a bit more forgiving with a cleaner release and really nice flex. The 100% carbon fanatic feels very stiff by comparison and it has a much stronger catch, a bit more like a QB100 elite but not quite. I really like the 80%/Bamboo.

Hi Windup,

I took this quick pic of the paddles you're talking about. The Fanatic 8" would be close enough to the Starboard 525 cm to be almost called identical in area and shape. The Quickblade 100 sq in as you can see is a more squat shape but would be very similar in square area to the Fanatic and Starboard blades. I would say they are all around 100sq in.

The catch curve of the blade on the Starboard is different to the Fanatic and Quickblade which is flat on the Fanatic and subtle curved on the QB.

The Fanatic has quite a pronounced spine for dihedral, the Quickblade has a more subtle dihedral spine and the Starboard more subtle again than the QB.

Hi windup,

I can do that for you tomorrow, sorry, just came across this thread again now.

I'll post a comparison pic for you in the morrow, I'll also include an 83 sq in paddle too for interests sake.

Cheers mate,
