Love the board, it's just a massive fish. So fast and the thin rails hold so well. Took a few weeks to get used to but great board when you get it sorted. Because it's so wide it's not good in the pocket or off the top and when it's big it's too fast/wide/light.

Really is a big fish, super fun for flow surfing and tail turns. If it's full it's amazing how far out on the shoulder you can go with your roundhouse. I reckon this is what all sups should be like, cause when the surfs big it barrelling you just grab a short board anyway.

I'm 92kg and an average sup surfer

Ripping mate. Some nice turns! Where did you pick one up? Not many Hobie resellers, but these boards look insane!

I worked for hobie QLD on the coast for about 12 months so didn't buy it myself

I am new to SUP surfing and just bought the Hobie 8'4 CM RAW. Certainly took a while to get comfortable maneuvering through chop in between waves but catches waves real easy and the thin rails and super light weight helps it turns real well. My last board was a 9'x29" Mctavish and this is so much more fun.

I am 150lbs and 5'9 which I think is a perfect weight for this board. These images are from the other day which was my first day riding the board. If I could stand up and surf on this gnarly day then any decent surfer will love this board!

Is that on Vancouver Island, I think I may have visited, very beautiful, as is BC overall, coming from flat old Perth WA it was a bit of a shock , scenery overload.

Yeah was Vancouver island. Is a beautiful place, Tofino is predominantly a surfing and fishing town so it has a cool vibe also.
