Have finished my latest project, a CLC Kaholo 14. It was a fun, quick build compared to a kayak.
Bare bones it weighed in at 13kgs but have added a glass 10" hatchet fin and a 2 metre deck pad which have bought the weight up to 14.3kgs finished.

cheers

G'day wh. I didn't take many pics of this build as the Kaholo is a very straightforward project and there are already lots of build diaries online.
I wanted to get this project done quickly hence tha basic ply deck rather than a stripped deck. I may end up stripping the front of the deck with paulownia at a later date to match a surfski I built last year.

Looks great
I'm regretting stumbling across this boards plans

Any idea what the total material cost was?

James,
I already had some ply and enough resin leftover from other projects but I have guestimated that you would be out of pocket about $600 including purchase of plans. JT might have a better idea of total cost.

$160 for 3mm marine ply
?? For 6mm ply
$150. For resin and cloth

Fin box, fin, deck pad, handle, varnish, leash plug, vent.
It all adds up

You can cut costs by using a fixed wooden skeg/s, making you own handle, using wax in which case you could probably do one for less than $400

Cheers
