Still searching for my perfect wave/all rounder SUP, getting sick of loading two or sometimes three boards in the boat for rotto trips TO ACCOUNT FOR ALL CONDITIONS, as you can see below, I have been searching for a while, found the Coreban Performer just a bit too tippy for me (100kgs) keep defaulting back to the laird but shes a big ship to handle on the waves, I have got 33 years surfing background, thinking about 10' x 31 or x 32 any suggestions, waves im surfing are steep take off reef breaks but With long fat sections and the odd weak perth metro peak thrown in, - ANY RECOMMENDATIONS APPRECIATED!!!

Have you looked at the Coreban Icon, surfers well and good to paddle in the flat water. Otherwise the Whopper is great for the surf but i found it was a pig in the creek.
Am at the 100kg mark as well. I did have a coreban Icon and it was a great board but .................... I bought a Simon Anderson Standsure 9'6 a few weeks ago and have found my perfect board. 137lt volume so enough for my weight 30' wide for stability, paddles into waves easily, and the feel of the board on the wave is incredible - Not to mention how easily it turns and the stability it has doing floaters.
both great boards though, in anything from knee high to well overhead. I guess all conditions the volume of the coreban does make it less tippier but on the wave theSA wins hands down.
Have you checked out the Hobie range, Sumo's and Colin McPhillips. The pic is my son and I on the Sumo 9'10. Good stability throught the "sumo disc" increasing volume to the paddling standing area while maintaining performance features to the tail / riding area. 9'10 x 29" x 4.6" and a voulume of 164 L thanks to the "disc".
I am a little light for the board but great with my son in smaller conditions. In better surf I use the Colin McPhillips 8'11, at your weight the Sumo 9'10 would be great.
i was in the same "boat", just wanted the one board to do everything, a little bit of flat water paddling (glass only) and inch high to biggish waves
i did spend a lot of time looking and i think that if you want to eat all the sup cake with cream then u really need at least a couple of boards.
Its hard to find 1 board that does it all..

if i had a bit more brass and space i would have got a psh 12 and a jimbo kwaz.
I'm also a member of the 100 kg club. If you're looking at boards in the 10' range you should try the 10'5" Starboard Wide Point. Hands down the best 10' all-around board I've ever surfed. Handles all conditions very well, with a nice pulled-in nose and tail rocker great on a wave, very responsive. Is also a stand-out paddler, easy onto a wave and with that pointed nose, excellent driving through white water and super-stable at 32".
My wife owns a Coreban Icon which I take out once in a while when she lets me. At 29.5" wide a little less stable for me (i'm also tall @ 6'3") than the WP but with the quad fin option (which I'm just starting to get the hang of...) super loose and fun on the wave. Surfs like a much smaller board off the tail. Also a nice choice!
My WP is in the carbon construction and it is super-light and very tough. The Icon is the Pure construction also very light and seems very well-built. Can't go wrong with either, try them both.
I'm considering the wide point at the moment, how does it paddle on the flat water?

Loads of great boards already mentioned, here is a few more to think about that could be used as all rounders (I weigh in at 105kg and have ridden all of these boards comfortably and rate them highly)
Starboard 10'5 x 30 Drive (160L)- Great glide.
Naish 10'0 x 32 Mana (251L) - very comfortable and still surfs well.
Naish 9'5 x 31 Mana (190L)- surfs better.
Angulo 10'4 x 31.5 Surfa (170L)- Loose for a >10' board
Angulo 9'8 x 31.5 Surfa (150L) - Don't let the litres throw you, Stability and performance
They all have very different personalities so Test ride Test ride Test ride!!!

I'd recommend the C4 Waterman Sub Vector 10. Despite being fractionally narrower than the Coreban Performer, I found it a lot more stable and a better surfer, plus it has 5 fin boxes for lots of experimentation (I only tried it in thruster mode). It seemed to have more rocker than the Icon and the SA 9'6 so should be good for those steep take offs.
IMO for rotto waves etc...WA Supsurfing i'd look seriously into the Angulo range very deceiving for their size extremely loose ,stable with excellent performance values. Happy Hunting

I am really pleased with a Gerry Lopez 11'2" Big Darling. I am 6'2" and a bit over 100kg. The Big Darling is about 170 litres and 29.5" wide. I can take off late and heading down the line if I need to, it turns well and is fast. Has the stability I need and paddles really well in the river even though it surfs well.
I have been SUPing for about 6 months and bought this after a few months on a really cheap SEAK beginners board. I have had the Lopez for about 2 months. The biggest I have had it out in is head high reefs and have surfed a lot of 6" to 2' on it. I am surfing the thrusters it came with but can go quad or tri-fin if I want with the 5 fin setup.
Had a 10'Mana was too fat and boatie in any waves over three foot,now have a
PSH 10'6 extra wide ripper,it surfs insane from one foot to overhead,just point and go,great on flat water too does'nt push water like the Mana,forget the rest go the ripper
some of the board suggested like the hobie boards, or the widepoint boards, or jl quad, maybe even consider going and having a chat with a shaper about a custom, my last board was a custom and i found it to be very nicely priced while being great quality and craftsmenship

Im with Windy Miller, I tried to get away with one board (12'1 Laird). But didn't quite feel like i was gettin all I could from SUP.
I've now got a PSH 9'3 (138L) aswell and just cant wait for the light wind days and get out there. As at 96kg its on the edge of my abilities stability wise but getting used to it now and eventually stoked with my purchase.
I was lookin at the
PSH 9'6 (150L)
PSH 9'6 AAW (158L) But more stable
Starboard 9'8 (140L)
...but had a real good look at the
Starboard Wide point 8'10 (151L)
Decided that it was a little too floaty for me at 96kgs but reckon it would go unreal for 100kg+ guys and be very user frienly straight up.
Been tring to get over to the rock a bit more so might see ya there one day
