Hi all,
Check out some new photos of the F16 and 17'4" bullet, arriving into oz before Christmas.
Peter@instyle
whats the difference in the two , what are they made of, foam filled or hollow , and how wide , which is more stable and when are they expected to land in oz
Yer no luck. Hey whats the inside buzz on the 2011 Naish 17 footer? Construction going to be any lighter?
you might be right lacey i never masured my naish 17, i loved the shape but also found it too heavy. anyone meaured one?
Just weighed mine straight off the water with both steering arms, wet deckpad and leggy at 16.1kg. Is it really that bad?
The reality is that the SIC's that will be sold in oz are still in prototype I believe at the cobra factory and the final weight at this stage is probally unknown. The 14.5kg quoted for the SIC i believe is fully fitted but dry.
The main point of the comments re the naish 17 weight is;
The 17 naish, while I understand is built to be durable and manufactured to a price, is a bit on the heavy side. As this board is marketed and sold as a full blown racing board and the feedback from alot of racing people (and me) is that it would be a fantastic board if it was lighter. If the SIC ends up @ above 15 kg, then the comments would apply to them aswell. I have heard comments that some people have weighed the naish 17 at 17 kg plus aswell?, maybe you have a lighter one Sam?
I never weighed mine, I wish I did.
Thats all Sam, nothing sinister. I would appreciate if you could ask the naish guys if the 2011 naish 17 is lighter than previous?
Thanks,
Scott
thanks Jakeo, but;
1. they have been making lightweight & durable windsurfing boards at cobra for years, its hardly re-inventing the wheel, what gives? are you taking the piss?
2. you got the answer you wanted, i didnt. is that for 2011? do i need to ring up every three months and ask if the latest shipment is lighter?
3. i have a custom race board, i am not ruff on it. your parents should have taught you to look after your toys.
4. i am not Danny Ching, sure he is a nice guy who makes great choices
later
Maybe Sam,
I am just looking at it selfishly from a customers point of view. Probally from $2,700 to $3,200 would be worth the money for 4kg less weight????????
Hey Jacko,
I am not big, just a bit fat
Cheers all.
