Im a big naish fan now so might look at 9 mana .thanks again.
Why not try and find a Naish Keiki 6'6" or 9' for the kids. They are as cheap as a good 2nd hand board
Hi calbs,
There are plenty of boards that will suit them...
The Naish 8'0" hokua is tiny, only has 95lites of volume, which will be great for them! I'm 65kg's and ride that board fairly easily. If you could find a used one of those that would be ideal.
Otherwise there are a few used Lauguna bay 8'6" 's kicking around.
We've got one here that you could check out.

Anything from 7'3" up untill about a 9'0" would be okay for them!

Just try your kids on some std surfing mals you'll really surprised what they can stand up paddle on this is my daughter when she was 8 on my 9ft mal.
My little bloke started on a Walk on Water Grom Soft Top, 8'0" x 30", was great to learn on and they can't hurt themselves too much while learning. I am looking sell, have PMed you:
