6 oz rails are stronger than 4oz rails. 6 oz handles paddle bashes better because of the larger size of the fibre bundle.

Lay Carbon on 1st, then cover it up with glass to protect it during final sanding (carbon sands away much quicker than glass cloth). Have you considered fiber orientation? In relation to the stringer, any fiber going across the stringer at 90 degrees (perpendicular) is wasted weight/zero strength (regarding the ability to resist breaking in half by a wave). One way to correct that is by pulling the cloth into a twist as you lay it out.

That has been the best thing that I have read on this site since the days of Stuey the penetrator

You can also buy unidirectional carbon or unidirectional glass to if carbon is too expensive, that you can lay under layer of 6oz cloth will make it heaps stronger, if you want durable rails see if you can get hold of some innegra cloth, I think that shapers.com.au sell it, it is more stretchy than fiberglass so you don't get shatters on the rails that leak water, just little bumps, again though you will need to make sure that you do not sand into it.

thanks to all
rfom what i read i think i make the first 6 oz two sides and then try two carbon sides that i cut to 15 cm and on them the fineal two sides with 6 oz fiber
i would like to come close to 13 kg and build two boards so if i buy carbon and put at the side just 4 times i have for the second sup
i think two surf would come 750 dollars in israel comper to the 3200 they want for fanatic or starboard.

Arani this is a very nice job on shape ,
Before laminating glass in 4 or 6oz with an longitudinal tread and the second tread like the board slices direction, this last one linking the section of the board to make like a reinforced concrete beam, be sure to scell the foam with resin mixed with microcell, otherwise you can have micro holes sipping patiently water while your are paddling later on And you will avoid resin to fill the EPS like a sponge and save total weight plus the money's resin save.
As well, to scell valves in the laminate glass BEFORE you fill the laminated glass then sand and later on gloss the board. Leave the ( set at 2 both ends ) valves open to let "breath" the inner board during these last process to avoid the f..... holes

Hey this is a short edited video I did a few years ago if you watch it these a few glassing tips in there , but yeah just make sure you seal the blank first before you glass it this is very important or you just end up with 1000 air bubbles when you try and glass it , anyway hope the vid helps in anyway

At this step , hard to see from distance, i might do a compound resin/microcell and spread with a squeegee on the board. Like the car fixer do on the body of car. Then sand properly, dont touch the wave of the glass.
It's going to take some weight.
Do a epoxy painting or gloss with epoxy.
Bon courage.
