Hi jarryd
I,v got a 12f JL Bombora gun. Great board I,v had it out in some big days.
Also goes well in real small waves.
I m looking to get rid of it if you want a go.
I only live 20 minutes from you.

I love reds! They are beautiful guns though... Single red thumbs make me smile from ear to ear!

This 8'0 would be a great start for a gun. If you blew it up by 1.3ish, you get;
10'6 x 28"1/2 x 4". I think a similar board at 10'6 x 29 x 4"5/8 could be good. If you are heavier and taller, maybe 11'0 x 29-29"1/2 x 4"3/4... or even x 5".

Just get another one of Dan's. They are sic, would be based on mine. You don't need 12 foot in Australia and the PSH one is too flat anyways for a real gun.

Mine is 9'1" but you would go a fair bit longer if you are currently riding a 9'11".

The new DTM's are a full gloss finish with carry handle as well.
