after snapping my paddle doing a turn!!!!!! i went home decided to ride the board as a thruster.the only waves i had been in were of good size and i found the board a bit harder going in smaller weaker waves. so shapers s9's all round with the centre fin set up somewhere between 71/2 to 8' from the back of tail to the back of fin.
the board went insane, full of energy. stoked again and its good to know if i need to 'grunt up' i can go back to the quad setup.
i just though paddlers who have the board might be interested.
i've hardly ever fallen off this board, a pleasure to paddle around on compared to the tight wire dancing of a lot of boards and the performance is class.
disc i'm not on the payroll, but wish i'll was if nsp keep putting out stuff like this
Spencer,I have the NSP 9'8"cocomat,it is now my favourite board,I don't let the pubic hair jokes get to me.
Ha, Wongi, the 9'2" was the first cocomat I saw and that's all I could think of.
Just a shame they are so light and strong, with the feedback on the 9'2 I may end up with one myself

I have taken out the side fins from all my boards,
just demo'd the JP 10.8 same thing.huge difference in glide,yet to find the difference surfing.better for practicing straight paddling stroke, but before it was like having the hand brakes on.
I recommend try it.

coming from riding longer boards and mals, where I enjoy walking the board and catching waves early, when I got used to the shortness of it, it is light and quick to respond paddling, when on a wave it just transfers body weight to turns, but this is my first board under 10',I find the domed deck comfy and this must help keep the rails smaller. I have no worries in small weak waves to more powerful beach breaks

Thanks Wongi. I'm torn between the 9'8" and the more pulled in 10'. Sounds like I should have no problem turning the 32" width at 73kgs. Tough, tough, tough, choice.
I have just had 3 solid days (Sat/Sun/Monday) up at Scotts Head on the 9'2 in 3' - 6'.
Never let me down
From late take off's to some nice cover ups. The first board in a whilst that has improved my surfing. Projects very nicely nice off the bottom and really carries speed down the line. It loves getting vertical and found the sweet spot on my backhand as well. Stoked!! Keen to run it as a quad but so far it works sweet for me (90kg) as a thruster! Yeeew!!

had mine on order and still 2 to 3 weeks away. i've been lucky enough to have been given a demo board till mine arrives.
nothing has changed my mind in 6 weeks of surfing the board. wed afternoon was particularly tasty. cutbacks and reo's from the rocks to laceys. set the rail right and the cutbacks lash and buzz coming around right back under your feet

and it really nice to have a board that performs and can cut the mustard paddling back up the point

I've have now got hold of a demo board, let me know if your in tassie and are keen to get on one of these
I ended up buying the 9'2 coco, despite a distinct lack of reviews. Took it for a 20 minute paddle before i bought it and was impressed by the speed and glide. Coming down from a 9'2 Allwave I had reservations about stability, but it wasn't an issue.
Will post findings once I have had a few surfs.

Having lots of fun on this board in all conditions.
This board is fast, very fast down the line.
The weight and durability are a stand out. It takes some big knocks that would crack other boards.
I just travelled with it and my board bag was trashed by the time I got home. Board survived.
Its weight weight at 8.5kg, makes it feel and ride a lot smaller than its 9'2". Very lively off the tail.
The rounded deck took some getting used to but it lacks no less stability than my old 9'2 PSH
and the low volume rails help on the more critical faces.
It is hard to fault this board.
It's kind of hard to tell from the pics, and I've yet to see one in real life, but does the 9'2" thin out quite a bit on the ends and carry its volume through the middle? And in the description it says boxy rails...through the middle also? I'm just curious since everyone is so stoked about this board. May be ordering one very soon!
Took my 9'2 coco out for its first surf this morning and I'm still smiling..... Board was awesome! Took a little bit to get used to the rounded deck but it was fantastic on the waves. Rode it as a thruster.... Think I will try it as a quad tomorrow.
