hi i was wondering weather anyone has any views on the sup atx 12 foot, i am a 120kg guy just looking for a board to muck about on when the wind is no good for wondsurfing, from what i can see they are about $1000 new with paddle,
does anyone have any thoughts on these, or any other option, i dont what to spend huge amounts on it because it is just to use when i cant windsurf
cheers
Being this cheap there must be a reason. Might as well buy a decent paddle and just paddle your windurfer around
or any other option
Hey BH, if i were you i would look for a proven 2nd hand big un, like 12ft psh , 12 ft laird (gsi) etc, should be able to pick up a bargain somewhere.
The Quality is 100% on the Sup ATX boards. They work on big numbers not big profits on each Board. And their Carbon Paddles are light and Full Carbon Fibre.
You definatly can't go wrong. The Roar Shop at Currumbin has sold quite a few already and all customers are very happy.
to me, they look like they come out of the same place the imported ron houses came from. 2 6 oz deck, i 6 oz bottom. be nice to them, treat them like a surfboard, i reckon they are a good buy.
I have been in the game a whilst and to be honest these boards do appear to represent good value. They are hand glassed epoxy and look like a normal PU surfboard, wood stringer and all. They are well weighted at around 12kg for the 11'er and 13kg for the 12'er.
Up until now I would have been loathe to recommend a board in this price range as they are usually painted and you don't actually see what you are getting.
You cant expect the durability of a molded PVC sandwich board with these boards but at this price if you are after a first board, they are hard to beat.
They are $985 out of the Gold Coast. Anywhere else and you will have to add freight
We sell them in Sydney for $1099 with paddle.
I know ROAR stocks them on the Goldie and I think SHQ in Melbourne.
