Thumbs Up

For the last 10 years Raglan has held a recycled raft race every year, an Extreme Waste ( local recycling buisiness ) initiative to raise awareness about recycling "waste" materials.
I've taken part in a few of these races & this is my latest & greatest creation; It's made of 3 lengths of 8M bamboo lashed together, a couple of pieces of marine-ply, old discarded flooring vinyl, clear plastic, polystyrene off-cuts from housing insulation, & a bit of tape & contact adhesive....

It's not quite finished - i have 3 days left to go, so far it has taken around 10 hrs & 50 bucks. to build.
Not sure how long it will last but i will have my 1st ever paddle on a race orientated SUP soon

Oh yeah for those technically minded types - It's dimensions are around 24'x27" displacement hull.... It has ORGANIC rocker - so SAG depending on humidity & rider weight, it's gonna have a twin-fin steering system - will keep you updated with developments
