Thought i might place a report out there as Im one of the people to get the new construction PSH. Thanks to AA, i received my new 9'2 on Friday. Keen to get it in the water i drag my self down to lorn to test it out in the stormy weather. This board rocks, not only is it easy to throw it around off the tail in the pocket or off the lip, its also amazing to have the ability to get some tip time, and the best part it is now my easiest board for nose 360's. I cant fault this board it really is a great all rounder.
And in comparison to the 9'2 hand shape PSH, they fell very similar. The new construction is a little more boyant but looks fairly similar in the shape right through the board.
All up stocked with my red beast.
PSH rocks
Welcome to the Breeze allrounder.. Just wondering..How heavy are you..and how wide is the allrounder?
..and how did you escape these gail force winds to paddle?.
DJ
Good one Matty. Welcome to the 'Breeze.
How tippy was it while waiting out the back (especially in the chop you must have got)?
hey DJ, im 6ft and around 90kg at the moment with out a suit. Lorne was still windy yesterday and all over the place. I had a mate drop me off the peer and just rode the bombies, it was 4to5 and fun to test out the new boards.
hey casso, it feels a little more stable that my yellow 9'2 that you rode. the base looks identical, the only difference i have found is it feels a little bit loser for a tight turn in the pocket but seams to carve the same and very similar of the top.
Stoked you like it!! Stoked you guys are into our stuff down there... I'll try and post some pics etc in the future...
Aloha,
Blane
Very funny Casso I'll take a quarterzone shot before I let that happen , it's looking more nerve related than actual damage. So I'm going to cut my paddle down another 2" to help take the pressure off the top of the shoulder and maybe get wet this weekend.
Blane welcome mate , would love to see some more shots of you guys ripping.
Rob
Rob i had some shoulder problems recentley and i reckon dont shorten the paddle but drop your lower hand down the shaft a bit more it seems to bring your lats into play and takes a lot of pressure of the shoulders , if you shorten the paddle you will be too bent over and then you get a sore back.It worked for me anyway and my shoulders are pretty stuffed from footy ect.
Blane,
Stoked you have time to login in and check this forum out. We enjoy you photos, probally the best regular surf sup pictures we see. (No offence DJ, we dig your photos aswell.)
Regards,
Scotty
I'm also rapt that Blane's onboard here at the Breeze..
For those who don't know and live in/near Melbourne SHQ now sell Blane's boards and now have two PSH demo's in stock..
They have a 10'6 AR and 9'6 wide ... Waa-Hoo!
DJ

Hey Blane, good to see your on the site. I know this is'nt a production board, but this is one of the my PSH 9'2 Hand shapes which feel similar. I will get some photo's up soon of the red beast.
yo matt
my mate amber took a few pics of you at the mambo
she was suppost to be getting a couple of shots of me but all the shots are of you dude (i think she thought you were hot)...lol.....
and you were rippin it up
nice work on taking out first place
Unpacked my 9-2 last night an compared it to my Ron House 9-10 , one thing that surprised me is that it's a few pounds heavier than my 9-10 even though it's 8 inches shorter.
What weight are these boards supposed to come in at ?
Rob
Hey PIROS, moulded boards are always slightly heavier than hand glassed boards - mainly due to the high density PVC foam used to add durability.
No one has ever commented on this on either PSH or Naish (similar construction except for wood veneer) - go ride it and let us know how it feels when surfing it!!
