I saw Surf Animal's post earlier about the benefits of family paddling and it prompted me to throw a few recent shots of Easter at Balnarring up.

Having a young family, Wife and Father who are in constant need of some sort of ocean fix, our list of activities now also spreads to paddling. We currently involve 3 generations in Stand Up, Windsurfing and Snowboarding. [ ok, the old fella ski's, but considering this time last year he was undergoing neuro-surgery, he's still hitting his straps. For the record he's 81 yrs old and shows no sign of slowing. Actually 2011 will be the 10th time he's gone to the Mambo!] I doubt whether I can achieve the same result with kitesurfing though.

Having these activities in common really does help us to combine as a family and I have to constantly remind myself of just how fortunate we are to be able to share these pastime's together.

We also hit Wilson's Prom for a few days after and scored lot's of waves. No shots of there, as I was just flat out paddling.

Looks like you had a great family time.

The Blend makes a nice kids tandem.

I picked mine up from Oke's today. They have done a great job and finished the paint work to match
the blue and white grip pad that was removed for the patch up.

Great to see your old 'young' man having a paddle.

I hope I can still get out there when I'm that age. What's his secret?

Alan.
