We had a fantastic day of smooth bay swell & the local paddleboard crew came out of the woodwork!
These images were shot by Leonie, one of the locals that lives in a house overlooking The Spit.
She also took some awesome sunrise shots a while ago that I thought were worth sharing!
Yep, the Shire isn't God's only country ya know !
This was a very crowded day in Jervis Bay. At the peak of the session there were 10 sups, two esky lids and 6 shortboarders. That is just totally packed for our little spot! Normally there might be 3 or 4 sups and if its really good, maybe one or two on prone boards.
Difference here is that everyone knew each other & most of those on shorties were the kids of those on SUPs! Very happy place!
I've heard all the stories and with family owning a house for the past 25 years beachfront at Callala Beach (near the tennis courts) I've until these shots never actually seen the south end break....just heard the stories.
Thank you so much for sharing. Beautiful and yep, another place just made for SUP !
thanks for the pics they look magic lol originally from ulladulla spent a lot of time around that area many many years ago and thanks again for the flash back memories
beautiful pictures and conditions there Mel. But you know what happens when you put pics like that on the Breeze. People like me think that looks so nice and inviting. I should head down there, have a SUP then get some fish and chips from Australia's best fish and chips (or so the sign used to say) and then have a beer at the pub .... perfect
