A few of us had a 3pm call up for an afternoon 10km 'downwind' run inside Port Hacking from Swallow Rock Reserve Grays Point to Cronulla yesterday.
A great call made 48 hours in advance by Greg (ShireSUP) with the blustery westerly winds right on schedule making it the perfect run down 'The Bay' and to top it off, an outgoing tide as an additional helping hand.
Daniel (LookToSea), Craig (Boylos), Greg & I were the crew and it was a 4 car shuffle to have 2 at the start line and 2 at the finish - logistics organised, away we went.
25-30 knot winds (approx. 50km/hr) saw us complete the 10km run in a leisurely 1 hour 25 mins and with it not being a race, more so a cruise, waiting for those who'd slowed and enjoying the afternoon rather than punishing ourselves - a great way to do it IMO.
I know it's not hardcore compared to some of hte stuff on 'breeze but for us, we had just as much fun.
Here's a piece I've put together from our run, beautiful afternoon in every way.

What a fun way to spend the end of anzac day!
The Jimmy Lewis M14 comes alive in the wind and runners, can't help but smile when you get such ideal conditions!
heres a few more photos of everyone from the session..
The last shot of Greg makes it look like there was no wind at all. Glassy.
Good photo's and I may join you for the next one. (#no racing)
All of my photos were taken before we turned the corner and got the real good down wind run.. Was way to much fun to stop and pick up the camera... Next time I'll try remember the gopro...
I thought it was you that always turned a easy paddle into a race
