I think we should look at the positive side of it ........... I mean the ad does portray SUP riders having six-pack abs, being able to levitate into a wave without even paddling and being so invincible that we can only be killed by a pro surfer getting so much air that he nearly needs a pilots licence ......... pretty cool if you ask me 
I am a little surprised that Australians would be upset at a cartoon in an ad in an magazine. It's a cartoon in a trashy womens weekly type cheap surfing mag. Flick through it if you get it free and toss it in the bin. Who cares?
I thought that kind of behaviour was reserved for some over passionate Extremist Americans followed closely second by Extremist Muslims and their anger over Cartoons of Allah or whoever it was.
Whatever happened to the great Laconic Aussie laugh at yourself and stay grounded? Or is that what happens as we slowly slip into Californication??
Now, look in the mirror, grab your wallet, run down the Bottl'o get a 6 pack of VB a meat pie and drive a Ute with a Dog in the back to flush that over serious crap from your system.

only supers i have met that where assholes are the ones that surf as well as sup thinking their isn't enough waves in the ocean for everyone else... it hasn't been the newbies from my experience.

Have a look in the surfing life mag this month Pro surfer Dean the snake Morrison is doing the same to a body boarder who is coming off a remarkable air himself at DBar. That kid needs to learn some manners. He is a pest at snapper. ps didn't he get belted in the pub recently. Maybe he is the same out of the water.....
